Rosebud:
With rose, ch 7, join with sl st to form ring
ch 1, working in the ring: 3 sc, 2 hdc, 3 dc, ch 3, sl st in top of last dc, 3 dc, 2hdc, 2 sc, sl st in first sc to join, break thread, weave in ends.

Vines and Leaves:
With green ( ch 16, sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next ch, dc in next ch, hdc in next ch, sl st in next ch) repeat until you have the desired length and number of leaves DO NOT BREAK THREAD...for the last set of leaves that rest on the bud, work as follows: after you have made your final leaf, ch 5, sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next ch, dc in next ch, hdc in next ch, sl st in base of last leaf, break thread, weave in ends.
To attach the bud to the leaves, and the vines & leaves to the lip balm holder, simply use a needle and thread and sew them on.
For the closure, I used Velcro, but you could just as easily sew on a snap.
To attach the keyring, I slid a few stitches onto it just like you would a key...you could also sew it on if you prefered.
I did not starch this one, but you certainly can if you'd like yours a little more firm.
